Payment Methods

Tuition for the month is due during the first week of the month. The monthly tuition is a flat fee regardless of the number of lessons per month. You don’t pay less in months you have 3 lessons nor more in months with 4 or 5 lessons. Tuition will only be prorated for the first month for students enrolling mid-month.

Payment forms accepted are: Cash, Check, Debit Card, Paypal, or Venmo.

Weekly Lessons: Part of the monthly tuition reserves the student a specific day and time slot in the instructor’s schedule; your time slot is solely for you. Once you book a permanent weekly slot, we will turn others away from that time. Because of this, all lessons must be paid for whether they are attended or not. Makeup lessons may be scheduled if you notify us of your absence PRIOR to your lesson.

Lessons occur on a weekly basis. Be sure to select a time in which you are confident. Each student is assigned a specific day/time which will remain the same every week.

Studio Policies

Studio Calendar: Our lessons run year-round. All lessons will occur on a weekly basis with 6 scheduled weeks off (Fall Break: 11/23-11/27, Winter Break: 12/21-1/2, Spring Break: 3/31-4/4, Summer Break 7/18-7/29).

24-hour cancelation policy: Please give the studio at least 24 hours notice when canceling your lesson.  Of course even more than 24 hours notice is appreciated, but I understand life happens!

Exceptions to the cancelation policy:

  • Getting Sick:  Sometimes people wake up sick or come home from school sick.  Please rest and feel better and get healthy, it is ok to cancel in less than 24 hours on these occasions if it is a legitimate sickness.
  • Legitimate Emergency: Again, life happens and sometimes major things come up that we can not avoid.  Of course I am flexible with these situations and allow for cancelations due to legitimate emergencies.

Make Up Lessons: We are more than happy to and absolutely encourage make up lessons when you need to miss your scheduled lesson.   I understand unexpected things come up, so you can ask me to move your lesson, however I will be able to better accommodate a schedule change with at least 24 hours notice.  Makeup lessons must be scheduled within a 2 week period either before or after the cancelled lesson.

Vacations are considered unexcused absences. If you plan to be gone for a while, you must continue to pay in order to reserve your membership in the studio. We are happy to schedule make-up lessons in this instance.

No Call/No Show: If a student does not provide notice of an absence it is considered a no call/no show. There are no make-ups in this case. The payment for this lesson cannot be applied to future lessons.

Instructor Cancellation: In the event that the instructor needs to cancel a lesson, the studio will provide a make-up lesson or substitute teacher.

Discontinuing Lessons: Monthly students must give 30 day notice to change their lesson or discontinue lessons. If you do not give 30 day notice, you are expected to pay for the following month.

Students enrolled by session will forfeit their payment if they choose to discontinue lessons mid-session.

Practice: Consistent weekly lessons are important: of equal importance is a regular practice routine. Teacher recommends that students practice at least 20-30 minutes per day. Every learner varies as does their learning goals. However, no matter what your music goals are, regular practice is key! You can take your lessons without practicing much in between the lessons. However, you will DEFINITELY get much more for your money if maintain a consistent practice schedule.

Media Release: Our studio has an online presence on my website (https://birdsongmusicstudio.com/), Facebook (Jenafer Vespucci), and Instagram (@jenafervespucci & @birdsongmusicstudio). With permission, I post pictures and videos of what my students are learning and accomplishing. Students will only be identified by their first name. If you would not like your/your child’s picture online, please let me know when we begin lessons.

Flexibility & Communication: It is important to me that I remain flexible. Flexibility is best achieved with good communication. Please reach out to me when you have questions, comments, or concerns. Let me know how I can better serve you and your child. I am happy to work with you!
